Exhibitions*
Single artist or thematic group exhibitions are held at intervals with auction sales during the course of the year. Unlike shows mounted in galleries where works may be reserved ahead of time or purchased on a ‘first-come, first served’ basis, Salcedo Auctions takes delight in providing collectors with the unique opportunity to register their interest in a piece by making a firm ‘silent bid’ (guided by a ‘starting bid’ price) with the highest bidder at the close of the exhibition period being offered the piece.
Bidders are required to complete a bid registration form as well as provide a financial guarantee by way of cash or check, or by providing their full credit card details. Additionally, new bidders will be asked to provide one type of government-issued photo identification (i.e. passport, driver’s license).
A buyer’s premium is applied to the bid at the rate of 15%. Additionally, value-added tax (VAT) at the rate of 12% is applied to the buyer’s premium.
*Please note that the exhibition “75 Years: Celebrating Onib Olmedo” is not being conducted as a silent auction. The buyer’s premium will not be applied.
